Angie Landon

I have watched this family from the perspective of one who came in after the kids were all “raised,” and I am always impressed at the parents who took the time to give their kids the best education while fitting in extras like violin, car repair, and home maintenance.

Lorna spent hours deeply involved in school to help her children be the best they can be.  This family has learned to stick together, to put family high on their list of priorities, to serve.  Ryan and Steven, though far away, always make the sacrifices necessary to remain a real part of the family.  Lisa has learned from her mother to care about the people around her and keep up with them and their needs.

Your children love the gospel and have all learned what is right.  They knew from their parents how important it was to keep the commandments. You remain there for your kids always.  Kara has needed you recently, and you were there for her. We all know that if our car breaks down, Glen will know what to do.  David is loving and thoughtful, and tries always to follow in his parents' footsteps.  He cares for the children, teaches them violin and home maintenance, and is deeply interested in their education and helping them get where they need to go.  I know he learned that from you, and tries to be like you.  He follows his father’s example in sharing his knowledge with the children and helping others.

I don’t know how you found the time to focus on each child as you did, but you did and do a wonderful job!  We all love and need you very much.

Angie
